D 53

Utilizing two DC direct drives, D-52 was the first belt-less tabletop strapping machine. The D-53 is the second-generation version of this design from Strapack. The microprocessor has been upgraded to improve tension control.

Tension is applied with a steel wheel allowing application of high tension without scuffing the strap. Tension is easily adjusted from 4.4 lbs to 100 lbs making the D53 a versatile strapping machine.

JK 2

The innovative JK-2 is Strapack's latest and most modern semi-automatic strapping machine. RQ8

The RQ-8 is the most dependable strapping machine yet developed. Its innovative design has been shown to be the most reliable general-purpose strapping machine on the market.

It features easy strap loading, auto re-feed and loop ejection, lubrication free operation and safe dual tensioning. The RQ-8 has the reputation as having the lowest maintenance costs of any strapping machine available.

RQ8 A

The RQ-8A is available in 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 tabletop belt configurations to match various package sizes.

The conveyor speed is variable, up to 29.4 m or 98 feet per minute on standard machines and as an option the speed can be increased to 40 m or 132 feet per minute. An inverter system makes it safe and easy to adjust the belt speed.

The standard RQ-8A allows selection of 0, 1 or 2 straps. Optional automation packages are available to provide a variety of automatic strap placements.

Self-correcting technology vital in fully automatic applications, such as three-time auto re-feed, loop ejection, the integrated, self-diagnostic monitoring system, is standard on all RQ-8A models.

RQ8 | RII

The RQ-8IR2 is compact, with the coil located inside the machine. It takes up the space of a string tyer. The RQ-8IR2 is designed for graphic arts, magazine and newspaper distribution and the direct mail industry. It runs inexpensive 5mm, 6mm or 9mm strapping.

Mail flats easily fit into the 650mm (27") wide by 400mm (16") high arch. The angled sides of the RQ-8IR2 arch support the sides of mail trays during strapping.

With the addition of a programmable photocell, the operator is free to use both hands on the package and can apply one or two straps without using a hand switch or foot pedal.

RQ8 Y

The side-seal model RQ-8Y adapts easily to conveyorized automated packaging systems. The compact design of the arch requires only a 76mm or 3" gap in the conveyor. It is easy to slide the RQ-8Y out of the conveyor system when service is required.

Several options are available to make it easy to integrate the RQ-8Y into a conveyor system. An end of cycle interlock signals the conveyor system to restart. Out of strap or cycle error signals warn that the strapping machine requires operator attention.

The RQ-8Y is ideal for heavy products; the weight of the product is on the conveyor, not on the strapping machine. In applications where dirt and dust is a factor, the side-mounted head is also ideal.

RQ8 PLT

Designed to speed the placement and tensioning of strap around palletized products, the RQ-8Y/PLT can cut the time it takes to strap pallets in half when compared to hand tools. The RQ-8Y/PLT is recommended for applications where automated equipment is too expensive or impractical and hand tools are too slow.

The strapping process is simple and easy. Simply position the track inside the pallet void by moving the machine on the easy rolling casters, push the feed button and insert the end of the strap in the top of the RQ-8Y/PLT. The RQ-8Y/PLT feeds the strap down to the head, tensions, seals, cuts and releases the strap.

With a torque tension system, the RQ-8Y/PLT achieves the consistent high tension required to pull together columns of boxes on a pallet.

As an option, the machine can be modified to use polyester strap.
